Grow food.

Uproot the system.

Skees Homestead is a regenerative micro-farm and a living act of resistance.
From a modest suburban plot in Dunlap, Illinois, we are proving that real change doesn’t come from corporations or politicians—it sprouts from the soil beneath our feet.

We are dismantling the industrial food system by growing nutrient-dense food, restoring ecological systems, and empowering everyday people to reclaim sovereignty over their land, health, and future.

We do not exist to fit into the current system—we exist to replace it.

Our Mission

We grow food and communities that give back more than they take. We demonstrate how a single household can:

  • Disrupt extractive agriculture through regenerative design, duck-powered fertility systems, and closed-loop ecological cycles.

  • Advance food freedom by teaching people how to grow abundance anywhere, regardless of income, identity, or land size.

  • Rebuild mental, physical, and ecological health through connection to land, animals, and ancestral knowledge reclaimed from corporate control.

  • Elevate marginalized voices in agriculture, including women, LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent people, and working families who are shut out of traditional farming.

  • Uproot colonial and extractive models and plant a future based in cooperation, biodiversity, and mutual aid.

Skees Homestead is not just a garden.
It is a blueprint for liberation, resilience, and rebirth—one raised bed, one duck, one human being at a time.

We are not waiting for permission. We are modeling the future.
